The Inly School Parents Group generously donated enough money for the students to plant two small apple trees, in conjunction with The Boston Tree Party, an organization dedicated repopulating the greater Boston area with apple trees.
On May 11, 2011, each class helped in the process: the Middle School dug the whole, Upper Elementary put the trees in place, Lower Elementary and Children’s House Preschool helped spread the mulch.
With each handful of mulch, the students made pledges for how they can help the environment. Just like the many small handfuls of mulch added up, we hope these pledges add up to a much better world for future generations.
