By Donna Milani Luther, Head of School
I am delighted to announce that the Inly Board of Trustees and the Master Planning Committee have elected to move forward with a renovation project of the Middle School garage. The new space will be called “The Commons,” and will be a gathering space for Middle School band rehearsals, Robotics Team practices, student clubs, after school programs, and other small group discussions.
At Inly, we are always seeking ways to maximize the spaces we have available on campus and to make sure we are using these spaces to their full potential. The Master Planning Committee, chaired by Inly parent, Rob DeMarco, is charged with looking at the Inly campus strategically each year and determining how to improve the school’s spaces. The building of The Commons will be made possible by capital funds designated for campus improvements. This project will allow the Middle School to gain an additional learning space, which will open further possibilities for this program.
The Commons will be a beautiful, bright space equipped with a restroom, computers, storage for band equipment, and more. You will see in the renderings that it will have an outdoor patio space as well as large glass windows to let in lots of natural light.
Please stay tuned for news on when this exciting project will unfold.
